Interview with our CEO for the Startitup portal

At the end of the summer, I was invited to participate in a podcast for the Startitup portal. Even though this wasn’t my first podcast experience and working with people makes up more than 90 percent of my professional time, I have to admit that it was challenging.

At INOGILE, we often deal with software development, digitalization, programming applications, and a wide range of technical matters. Here, I feel like a fish in water—I’ve been navigating the IT world for over 20 years. However, a podcast that is mainly intended for the general public, and therefore for a less technical audience, is something entirely different.

On one hand, you want to come across as authentic, but on the other hand, you can’t use the standard IT terminology in a conversation that isn’t aimed primarily at an IT audience.

Together with the host, Adam Šípoš, we discussed topics in the field of AI, how software solutions are built, and what added value customers receive when AI tools are used in the process. We also touched on sustainability and employment within the IT sector.

Those who know me are aware that I have a fairly skeptical view of AI. It’s not because AI is bad, but rather because the market is being artificially inflated in a way that doesn’t match the revenues of AI companies.

For a long time, I’ve tried to explain software development to customers using the analogy of building a house, but I have to admit that I got a bit tangled in that explanation during the podcast :)
